Global Intergenerational Week 2022

Global Intergenerational Week 2023 Launch Event

🌍🤝 Throwback to our fantastic Global Intergenerational Week launch event: our intergenerational paintalong with Mary McCarthy! 🎨

Participants of all ages joined us for an afternoon of creativity and connection to recreate “Kildavnet Tower, Achill Island”. Together, they explored their artistic sides and learned from each other’s unique perspectives.

Lynn, one of our participants, gave us her opinion about the day:

It was really fun and relaxing, and the teacher was really good. It was nice to do something with the family members, and it was lovely to see. I did it with my daughter but there were other people there with their grandchildren so there were three generations, it’s great.

Thank you all for participating in this launch event, we’re excited to continue celebrating intergenerational connections with you during Global Intergenerational Week and beyond!

Join us as we break down barriers and build bridges between generations, one connection at a time. 🌟

All the pictures from the event are available here.

Keep an eye on our social media and websites (AFU and GIW) as we share our plans for GIW throughout the week!
